The Anglo-Indian who is an alumnus of St. Francis College describes herself as a very impulsive person, "After my degree I wanted to be in the media, joined the radio and then one day I said I want my masters degree I'm going overseas. Few years later I said I wanted to go home when I was working and earning well, then I said I got a offer for a Telugu film I think I'll do it." The actor says she doesn't want to sign anymore films till the trailers go on air. She was advised by her well wishers to do so as they thought she had the potential to do well.
"I'm heavily backing on the seniors in the industry, they know exactly what I'm doing, they are very supportive. It's easy to end your career if you make a few wrong moves."
In Romeo, she is a second generation NRI girl, traveling Europe and that's when she meets the character played by Sairam. She adds, "It's a romantic comedy, the story falls in such way that you don't know what's happening in the first half of the story and then in the second half everything falls in place."
Can Adonica speak Telugu? She responds "I can't read and write Telugu, in school I focused on Sanskrit and French, I should have taken Telugu and I feel If you live in Hyderabad you shoud be knowing a decent amount of Telugu but I was coached with the diction. I just needed that little help."
Adonica says she hasn't been treated as a star as yet, she is taking baby steps and growing in blind faith, has she learnt to dance around trees? She remarks, "Many people say that it is a jaded industry, but they do everything in the open and at least you know and the film fraternity knows what's going on. It's transparent, there are so many talented people. I'm not dancing around trees but yes around historical monuments. The film is shot in Italy and is based on Romeo Juliet."
Adonica is all praise for the director Gopi Ganesh, "My director is such a gem, I get motivated whenever I look at his face. Am also absolutely loving the work, the hectic schedules..waking up at four, the make up et al. All my friends on Facebook are not surprised anymore. They say, "There you go..when you think she has done it all, she does something else. I have two profiles one for the public and one is private..but please mention my name as Adonica Judith. I read somewher that I'm Adonica Juliet," she sounds a bit flustered and signs off.
